DIRECTOR PAUL HAGGIS WRAPS “THE THIRD PERSON” AT CINECITTÁ STUDIOS

(February 12, 2013)  Cinecittá Studios has added Academy Award-winning director Paul Haggis (“Crash”) to their very long list of directors who have enjoyed working at the legendary studios.  Haggis just finished shooting his latest movie, “The Third Person,” which features an all-star cast including Kim Basinger, Liam Neeson, Mila Kunis, Casey Affleck, James Franco, Olivia Wilde, Adrian Brody, Maria Bello and Moran Atias at Cinecittá.

“THE ELEVATOR” IS GOING UP AT CINECITTÁ STUDIOS

(January 9, 2013) –Cinecittá Studios is well-known for its lavish sets and accommodations which have serviced such epic films as “Ben Hur” and “Gangs of New York.”  Savvy independent filmmakers, however, know that they can also bring their small-scale productions to Cinecittá where they will receive access to the same excellent facilities and talented staff as their big-budget counterparts.  With that in mind, director Massimo Coglitore is filming his first full-length, English language feature “The Elevator:  Three Minutes Can Change Your Life” at the famed studio.

CINECITTÁ STUDIOS MOURNS CARLO RAMBALDI

(August 13, 2012) – Cinecittá Studios joins the international film community in mourning the death of Academy Award-winning special effects maestro Carlo Rambaldi, who passed away on August 10 at the age of 86.  During his astonishing career, Rambaldi created some of cinema’s most iconic movie creatures, most famously the beloved “E.T.”   As one of Italy’s favorite sons, Rambaldi often worked at the legendary Cinecittá, where he honed his craft, making use of the studio’s extraordinary special effects and construction departments.  Rambaldi took full advantage of Cinecittá’s resources...
